Meghan & Ryan: Married! | Kristen Schueler, Boston Wedding Photographer

hello everyone! it's been a while since my last post, but i haven't been doing much shooting. however, this past weekend i did shoot a fantastic wedding! meghan & ryan had an awesome backyard reception, complete with a dancing floor, candle lit walkway, and a huge tent.

i had the pleasure of working alongside dj deja, who was definitely

responsible for the day going smoothly! there were some technically difficulties with electricity, and some timing issues, but she stayed calm and upbeat despite the days challenges. not to mention, she was super cool and played some great tunes :)

the newlyweds are currently headed off to california, where they will drive the pacific coast highway, from san francisco down to san diego. i'm sure they're having a blast!

while i still have so many pictures to go through, here are few, just to give you a little idea of beautiful day!

that's it for now! i'm going through some business changes in the next few months, but hopefully by the beginning of the fall i will be doing an unveiling :D

i <3 faces - all about babies!

i have perused the photo blog i <3 faces before, but this will be the first week i am entering a picture.  this weeks theme is babies, or anything related to babies, so i had to enter!  here is a picture of stanley, my best friends son.  this is his squishy picture face.  unfortunately they live on the opposite coast, so i only get to see him once a year :(  but i have many amazing pictures of him, which helps when he is so far!

my first cake smash!



sorry it's been a while since my last post - i've been doing lots of editing and not a lot of shooting.  but yesterday i photographed a nearly 1 year old kieran - including his cake smash!  this was the first one year session i have done, and it was a lot of fun.  can't wait until my next one!

i have been seeing all these customized iphone skins around, and i finally have a phone they are available for! 

i am thinking about offering them to clients; i need to wait until i get mine so i can see the quality of them.  i have heard good things, and am very excited for mine!  yay! 

no shoots lately...been busy editing wedding pictures!  stay tuned for my review of my phone skin.

yesterday i photographed 11-day-old ollie.  finally, a newborn girl!  she is so adorable, especially with a tutu on twice the size of her.  i think we over-stimulated her; she didn't seem to want to go to sleep without knowing what all the commotion was.  it took a few hours, but i am super excited about what we ended up with and can't wait for joe & erica (the proud parents) to see.  without further ado, i give you ollie!

matt & melissa get hitched!

i have been crazy busy editing pictures, but not too busy for a wedding!  yesterday, at independence harbor in assonet, ma, matt and melissa got married!  it was a PERFECT day, and everything went so well.  they are both very unique individuals, and i feel thankful to have been allowed to share their day with them.  below is a sample of some of my favorite pictures, so enjoy!

the weekend!

so here it is again, sneaking up on me!  the weekend.  most weekends i spend in front of the glow of my monitor, retouching baby snot, agonizing over which of my 12,000 or so shots from my latest session i am in love with.  HOWEVER,  this weekend is different!  one of my best friends, ashleigh, is visiting from brooklyn, and i am super excited to see her and share my little world with her.  while i technically wont be "working", i will be snapping away.  ash wants me to take some photos of her that will make her look as beautiful as she does in person!  but that's not all folks!  saturday evening we are headed over to my boyfriends sisters house to babysit his nephew, kieran.  i dont think kieran knows i have an actual face; he must think i look something like my logo, as my camera is always in front of my face when im around him!  so there will be shooting this weekend, but mostly personal work.

this saturday is the first annual bacon & beer festival in boston, which ashleigh and i were planning on going to.  unfortunately i did not realize i needed tickets, and it was sold out.  but we arent going to let that stop us from enjoying two of gods greatest gifts to man!  sunday we are going to have our own little bacon & beer fest, cooking up different kinds of bacon & drinking craft beer.  pictures to come!
